AUCKLAND CITY - NORTH ISLAND

Auckland is New Zealand's largest city with a population of over 1 million people.
Not only is Auckland's population large, but it is diverse as well with large Pacific Island and Asian communities within the city.

Auckland is known as the City of Sails due to the high number of watercraft per population. The city has also established itself an international name in the luxury and super-yacht manufacturing markets.
The city was host to the America's Cup during the late 1990s and early 2000's.

Home to New Zealand's largest international airport, Auckland city is visited by the majority of all visitors to New Zealand.

Auckland's landscape is dotted with many conical hills that are the remains of small dormant volcanoes from New Zealand's fiery past thousands of years ago.
The most famous being One Tree Hill, made internationally famous by rock band, U2.

Many activities are available in Auckland in the form of museums, aquariums, tours and other activities.
Off the coast of Auckland is the Hauraki Gulf and within it are many islands worthy of a visit using the local ferry and water taxi services.
